ZAWYA reported on July 4th that according to Cisco's 'Visual Network Index (VNI) Forecast', Saudi Internet users are expected to reach 30 million by 2022, when there will be more than 83.3 million connected devices in the country.
According to the report, by 2008, there will be approximately 4.8 billion Internet users connected worldwide, of which 549 million will live in the Middle East and Africa, up 41% from 2017, and there will be approximately 2.5 billion devices connected to the network.
According to Cisco, the number of Saudi network users will increase to approximately 82.6% of the country's total population, compared to only 24 million in 2017. Cisco expects Saudi network speed to increase more than three times between 2017 and 2022, and broadband speed will increase from 12.2 Mbps in 2017 to 41.2 Mbps in 2022.
