Noon, the Middle East e-commerce company founded by Emaar Chairman Albar, signed a memorandum of understanding with Neolith Huitong (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (Neolix) to introduce automatic delivery technology for unmanned vehicles in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

According to reports, this will be the first application of unmanned vehicle logistics and distribution technology in the Middle East and North Africa.

Neolithic has more than ten years of experience in building intelligent hardware for the logistics industry. It is best known for its L4 class of unmanned vehicles, and is divided into retail, express, transport and security. At present, the Neolithic unmanned vehicle has been deployed and operated in many scenic spots and rookie logistics parks in China, and cooperated with Baidu, rookie and Meituan to jointly explore the large-scale commercialization of unmanned vehicles.

Noon founder Alabar believes that this unmanned car delivery technology is conducive to improving the consumer e-commerce shopping experience. For Noon, unmanned vehicles can save 90% of the last mile of logistics and distribution costs.

In the coming weeks, unmanned vehicles will be the first to be tested in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Before the trial of unmanned vehicles in residential areas, Alabar said that he would also obtain relevant driving documents for these unmanned vehicles.
